I just checked and the last time I posted to this site was in 2024. Hmmm. Visitors to the site might wonder if I’ve stopped researching, or am pursuing other hobbies. Not a chance. Quite the opposite. I am making fantastic progress with my research and discovering some great stories that are begging to be told.

But the question remains – why don’t I write them? I have the time and I have the resources.

Because I’m a researcher. I love it. And there is always that little nugget of information that I’m chasing that will help tell the perfect story. And so I search.

But I must stop. I need to tell these stories. Here’s why: these stories don’t belong to me. They belong to my family. There is a popular graphic amongst family historians that explains it best.

I will do my best to honor the stories.
